Licensed Massage Therapists should be able to perform professional, ethical, and quality massages within their scope of practice. All therapist must follow all protocols and finish all mandatory videos/trainings upon hire. If performing additional modalities must be trained or certified to maintain safety for themselves and guests. Physical demands include standing through multiple sessions from 50-120 minutes at on time. Therapists must help in maintaining cleanliness of the clinic, rooms, and shared break areas. Therapists must maintain proper hygiene while at work, if the therapist smokes they cannot wear their uniform while doing so. These odors are offensive to some and we currently maintain a scent free clinic. The therapist is also responsible for promoting themselves through guest passes and business cards. All clients should have specific massage plans designated for their individual needs and plans for follow up visits. Therapists should maintain timeliness and attendance, according to policies and procedures of each clinic. All documentation, such as SOAP noting and charting should be completed by the end of every shift, and complete confidentiality must be held at all times.

About Massage Envy
Education, Skills and Training:
Minimum of 1000 hours of massage therapy school and a certificate of completion.
Participates in continuing education to improve effectiveness (preferred).
Satisfactory results of background and reference check is a condition of employment in this position.
Must adhere to all applicable local and state licensing laws and regulations related to the massage therapy services provided, including following any applicable law pertaining to maintaining current Massage License.
Knowledge of and experience in performing Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage required, as well as knowledge of and experience in performing other modalities offered by Massage Envy.
Understands and believes in the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork.
Communications and Personal Interactions:
Have a strong customer service orientation.
Possess the ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) and in a courteous and professional manner on a regular basis with members, guests, co-workers and management.
Maintain client confidentiality.
