Overview
HealthFitness is looking for an experienced Part-time Massage Therapist to provide services at our new client site in Oak Brook, IL. In this position, you will be responsible for administering professional massage services to a wide variety of members and guests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide 30-50 and 80 minute massages to clients by appointment.
Guide clients through service offerings and determine which massages would benefit them most.
Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions.
Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body.
Advise clients on stretching, strengthening or relaxation methods.
Suggest future massage appointments and regime to clients.
Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desire.
Education, Experience & Certifications:
Massage Therapy License for the state of Illinois required.
Current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 1 month of hire.
1+ years of massage therapy experience required.
Sports massage techniques a plus.
Good communication skills; listening and verbal.
While a drug screen is not required for this position now, it is possible one could be required in the future.
Will be required to follow any current or future site COVID-19 vaccination policies including but not limited to proof of vaccination, weekly testing, etc.
