SUMMARY:Traditional Thai Reflexology
DESCRIPTION:Who Can Attend\nCertified reflexologists\, reflexology students and massage therapists \nCredits\nARCB: 24 ★ RAC: 12 ★ NCBTMB: 23 ★ Florida: 24 ★ Georgia: 23 \nInstructor\nKaren Ball \nDescription:\nThai foot reflexology is a marriage between the ancient healing arts of reflexology\, Chinese tuina\, Japanese shiatsu and Indian Ayurvedic yoga. Thai reflexology is easy and fun to learn and incorporate into your existing practice. Working with the feet\, lower legs and knees\, this 2000 year old\, highly reputed session frees up blocked energy within the body’s many sen lines (Thai- based meridians) to produce a deep and unique feeling of balance\, relaxation and well-being. \nUnlike conventional western reflexology\, Thai reflexology takes a relatively short time to learn. This is because the session follows a protocol\, rather than relying on extensive education and practice to create an effective session. \nIn this class you will learn:\n★ the history and philosophy behind Thai foot reflexology\n★ how to give a gentle 60-minute traditional Thai reflexology session\n★ the names and locations of the 6 major sen lines located in the feet & lower legs\n★ the body systems and health issues governed by the sen lines\n★ placement of conventional reflexology points along the sen lines\n★ the difference between Thai reflexology and conventional western reflexology\n★ how to incorporate hydrotherapy in your Thai reflexology session\n★ how to choose efficacious lubricants for a Thai reflexology session\n★ how to prepare and care for your Thai foot stick. \nYou will be given an illustrated manual\, Thai foot stick and a bottle of organic Thai oil. \nPreparation:\nWear clothes that allow access to your lower legs and knees\, and slip-on shoes that you can remove quickly and easily. Please be familiar with the bones of the lower legs and feet. \nQuestions?\nContact: karen@academyofancientreflexology.com

SUMMARY:Ashiatsu Bar Massage Training Class - Chico\, CA
DESCRIPTION:3-Day Class Incl: Digital Manual & Video · Bar Schematics · 24 CE · Free Ethics ·Certification · Chico\, CA· \nAhh…shiatsu® Bar massage is a trademarked form of Ashiatsu Bar Therapy. We base this barefoot wonder on an ancient Ayurvedic practice of Chavutti Thirummal. In addition\, our training classes and seminars combine Swedish\, Myofascial\, and compression techniques. The massage therapist applies their feet to the body of the client. Thereby\, giving the hands and thumbs a rest. \nAshiatsu is an art\, where the feet glide over the contours of the client’s body. So\, the pressure can be as light as a Swedish massage or the deepest massage a therapist can give. We change and adjust our course program to fit your needs. The workshop focuses on the hands-on technique of Ashiatsu. Also\, we do not claim that we own massage or invented it. Likewise\, massage therapists are creative\, intelligent\, independent free-spirited thinkers. So we want to keep it that way. The Barefoot Masters® is the largest barefoot massage provider in the country. \nWHAT MAKES THIS PROGRAM STAND OUT? \nThe overhead or floor Barefoot Bars are for balance and support. You do not have to have a lot of upper body strength to perform Ashiatsu. Furthermore\, there are no height or weight restrictions. The massage table must sustain both the weight of the client and the therapist. Ashiatsu treatments are a more efficient application of deep tissue massage. \nThe pressure is constant and maintained. Barefoot massage creates circulation. More circulation brings about faster healing. Ashiatsu brings about a relaxed state. In fact\, this state of well-being lasts for hours after a massage service. Clients don’t walk out of a session – they float. \nUSE OF BARS FOR BALANCE AND SUPPORT\nNO HEIGHT OR WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS\nPRESSURE IS CONSTANT AND EVENLY MAINTAINED\nCREATES MORE CIRCULATION\nTHERAPIST FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE PERFORMED A DANCE INSTEAD OF A WORKOUT\nTHIS THERAPY IS A MORE BALANCED APPROACH TO MASSAGE \nThe first deep tissue of the day is as good as the last one. There is none of the usual pain associated with deep tissue massage for therapist or client. The therapist gains strength\, knowledge\, and grace. While at the same time adding diversity and vitality to their workday. So you can do more of what you love\, forever. \n3-Day CLASS | WORKSHOP SIZE LIMITED TO: 5\n24 CE HOUR CREDITS\, NCBTMB PROVIDER 403532-0\nTUITION COST $575. PER PERSON\nSEMINAR INCLUDES DIGITAL MANUAL AND VIDEO\nNON-REFUNDABLE $50. REGISTRATION FEE\nNO NEED FOR PRIOR ASHIATSU COURSE EXPERIENCE\nHALF CLASS FEE TO HOLD A SPOT FOR THE TRAINING IN Chico\, CA 4-6-18 \nWHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE ASHIATSU BAREFOOT MASSAGE BASIC CLASS \nAshiatsu training is an intensive and fun class. We dedicate this course to the preservation of the bodyworker. The Barefoot technique can feel very awkward in the beginning. \nDIGITAL MANUAL: The Ashiatsu course manual consists of pictures with descriptions. As well as instructions that cover the entire anterior and posterior routine.\nVIDEO: We view the video during the workshop as part of the course plan. We use most of the class training to hands-on application of Ashiatsu technique.\nLECTURE TIME: This time use is for discussing marketing and contraindications.\nThe final part of the seminar is spent putting the routine together\, so it flows. The trainee will perform a 20-minute practical on the instructor. We use this time to fine tune the movements\, pressure\, and placement of the application. The primary goal of the course is to ensure the success of every therapist in the class.\nContraindications for the class are the following. Those who have had implant surgery for less than nine months or pregnancy. \nCost for the class is $575 per person. We accept cash\, check\, and credit card payments. This fee includes digital course manual and instructional video! There is a $50. the non-refundable fee for any cancellations. Half of the class fee is non-refundable 31 days before the workshop. And we apply all but $50. to a home study or another training date conducted by the same instructor within a year. Class size is 6. Please give at least one-month cancelation notice. As there is typically a waiting list of others that could take your spot given enough time to prepare. \nThis class is a 24 hour CE course over a 3-day session; hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for day one\, two and three. There are breaks during class\, but\, please come to class well rested! Trainees need to bring snacks. A refrigerator is available for drink storage. On day one\, we will eat lunch out and discuss marketing over the meal. Bring 3 fitted sheet\, face cradle cover\, and one over-sized heavy towel for draping. Therapists need to have their feet pedicured and wear no toe or ankle jewelry. You may want to bring a pair of house shoes to wear while training to keep your bare feet off the floor. \nAlso\, therapists\, please wear loose\, comfortable clothing. Yoga capris or pants work best; if you wear yoga pants\, we’ll roll the pant legs up to the knee. Men find basketball shorts or sweatpants to be most appropriate.

SUMMARY:Barefoot Basics Ashiatsu Combo Course
DESCRIPTION:Barefoot Basics\n3 days\, 25 CE Hours $725\nNon-Refundable Deposit: $325 \nPre-requisite: Licensed Massage Therapist\nWe have designed a comprehensive\nthree day class that teaches licensed\nprofessionals how to administer barefoot massage techniques that offer\nstudents both posterior and anterior\nprotocols. Barefoot massage techniques taught are western focused and includes: cross fiber friction\, effleurage\, petrissage\, compression as well as trigger point and myofascial techniques. \nYou will have lots of “feet on” time in this class. Though we use the parallel bars in the ceiling to regulate our weight\, we do have some fitness levels /weight guidelines associated with taking this course. Our teaching methodologies are designed to work with each practitioner’s skill level\, physical characteristics and learning style. Emphasis during the three-day workshop will be on body mechanics\, barefoot application\, contraindications\, certification and bar construction. \nThis introduction to barefoot massage course includes both posterior and anterior protocols so that upon completion the body-worker will be able to deliver a 90 minute detailed supine and prone Ashiatsu session. \nWe not only do we train you how to use your foot as a massage tool – we also teach you trademarked sequence that has proven to be successful\, so you will walk away with confidence and certainty to start practicing your newly acquired barefoot skills right away. Making sure you are safely up and operational before you leave the workshop is our number one priority. With over 25 years of experience\, we set the standards when it comes to barefoot bar work. \nA non-refundable deposit of $325 is required to hold your spot. Once you complete the registration process a confirmation email will be sent to you. The remaining tuition balance will be due to your instructor two weeks prior to class. Upon completion of this course you will receive 25 credit hours\, which you can apply to your NCBTMB certification\, AMTA or ABMP renewal. To become certified in Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy students are required to perform a practical on day three of class\, complete an online quiz and submit 20 documented practice sessions
