SUMMARY:Ashiatsu Bar Massage Training Class - St Louis\, MO
DESCRIPTION:2-Day Class Incl: Digital Manual & Video · Bar Schematics · 20 CE · Free Ethics ·Certification · St Louis\, MO · Register Here \nAhh…shiatsu® Bar Therapy massage is a trademarked form of Ashiatsu Bar Therapy. We base this barefoot wonder on an ancient Ayurvedic practice of Chavutti Thirummal. In addition\, our training classes and seminars combine Swedish\, Myofascial\, and compression techniques. The massage therapist applies their feet to the body of the client. Thereby\, giving the hands and thumbs a rest. \nAshiatsu is an art\, where the feet glide over the contours of the client’s body. The pressure can be as light as a Swedish massage or the deepest massage a therapist can give. We change and adjust our course program to fit your needs. The workshop focuses on the hands-on technique of Ashiatsu. Also\, we do not claim that we own massage or invented it. Likewise\, massage therapists are creative\, intelligent\, independent free-spirited thinkers. So we want to keep it that way. The Barefoot Masters® is the largest barefoot massage provider in the country. \nWHAT MAKES THIS PROGRAM STAND OUT? \nThe overhead or floor Barefoot Bars are for balance and support. You do not have to have a lot of upper body strength to perform Ashiatsu. Furthermore\, there are no height or weight restrictions. The massage table must sustain both the weight of the client and the therapist. Ashiatsu treatments are a more efficient application of deep tissue massage. \nThe pressure is constant and maintained. Barefoot massage creates circulation. More circulation brings about faster healing. Ashiatsu brings about a relaxed state. In fact\, this state of well-being lasts for hours after a massage service. Clients don’t walk out of a session – they float. \nUSE OF BARS FOR BALANCE AND SUPPORT\nNO HEIGHT OR WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS\nPRESSURE IS CONSTANT AND EVENLY MAINTAINED\nCREATES MORE CIRCULATION\nTHERAPIST FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE PERFORMED A DANCE INSTEAD OF A WORKOUT\nTHIS THERAPY IS A MORE BALANCED APPROACH TO MASSAGE \nThe first deep tissue of the day is as good as the last one. There is none of the usual pain associated with deep tissue massage for therapist or client. The therapist gains strength\, knowledge\, and grace. While at the same time adding diversity and vitality to their workday. So you can do more of what you love\, forever. \n2-DAY CLASS | WORKSHOP SIZE LIMITED TO: 5\n20 CE HOUR CREDITS\, NCBTMB PROVIDER 403532-0\nTUITION COST $575. PER PERSON\nSEMINAR INCLUDES DIGITAL MANUAL AND VIDEO\nNON-REFUNDABLE $50. REGISTRATION FEE\nNO NEED FOR PRIOR ASHIATSU COURSE EXPERIENCE\nHALF CLASS FEE TO HOLD A SPOT FOR THE TRAINING IN St Louis\, MO 4-27-18 \nWHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE ASHIATSU BAREFOOT MASSAGE BASIC CLASS \nAshiatsu training is an intensive and fun class. We dedicate this course to the preservation of the bodyworker. The Barefoot technique can feel very awkward in the beginning. \nDIGITAL MANUAL: The Ashiatsu course manual consists of pictures with descriptions. As well as instructions that cover the entire anterior and posterior routine.\nVIDEO: We view the video during the workshop as part of the course plan. We use most of the class training to hands-on application of Ashiatsu technique.\nLECTURE TIME: This time use is for discussing marketing and contraindications.\nThe final part of the seminar is spent putting the routine together\, so it flows. The trainee will perform a 20-minute practical on the instructor. We use this time to fine tune the movements\, pressure\, and placement of the application. The primary goal of the course is to ensure the success of every therapist in the class.\nContraindications for the class are the following. Those who have had implant surgery for less than nine months or pregnancy. \nCost for the class is $575 per person. We accept cash\, check\, and credit card payments. This fee includes digital course manual and instructional video! There is a $50. the non-refundable fee for any cancellations. Half of the class fee is non-refundable 31 days before the workshop. And we apply all but $50. to a home study or another training date conducted by the same instructor within a year. Class size is 6. Please give at least one-month cancelation notice. As there is typically a waiting list of others that could take your spot given enough time to prepare. \nThis class is a 20 hour CE course over a 2-day session; hours are from 8:30 am to 7 pm for day one\, then 8:30 am to 7 pm for day two. There are breaks during class\, but\, please come to class well rested! Trainees need to bring snacks. A refrigerator is available for drink storage. On day one\, we will eat lunch out and discuss marketing over the meal. Bring 2-flat sheets\, face cradle covers\, and one over-sized heavy towel for draping. Therapists need to have their feet pedicured and wear no toe or ankle jewelry. You may want to bring a pair of house shoes to wear while training to keep your bare feet off the floor. \nTherapists\, please wear loose\, comfortable clothing. Yoga capris or pants work best; if you wear yoga pants\, we’ll roll the pant legs up to the knee. Men find basketball shorts or sweatpants to be most appropriate.

Direct spending by travelers in the U.S. averaged $2.7 billion per day in 2016. (U.S. residents logged 1.7 billion trips for leisure purposes and 457 million trips for business purposes in 2016). \nThe travel industry is a profitable and competitive market for licensed massage therapists\,\nbecause every traveler more or less suffers from travel-related issues and looks for\nquick remedies. \nAs licensed massage therapists\, you can take the initiative to better understand travel related health issues and to help your clients travel well and live well. Therapists with a clear understanding of travel-related massage will be highly desirable at service oriented establishments\, such as luxury hotel spas\, where therapists are required to foresee and satisfy the demanding needs of frequent world travelers. \nTraveling is human nature\, and the current population in the United States alone totals\nabout 323.1 million people. We can logically deduce that travel-related issues belong to\nevery one of us in the U.S.\, and therefore travel massage specialists are in demand in\nevery corner of our society. This program is the fruit of Snow Shimazu’s life journey and the crystallization of who she is\, and she looks forward to sharing this training to\nhelp others like you become a travel massage specialist and capitalize on this profitable market. \nSnow Shimazu (MA\, LMT\, CLT\, ARCB\, RYT) crafted an innovative travel massage program that was born naturally out of her own need to prevent and recover from the damage caused by her frequent traveling. When she realized that the majority of her clients suffered from the same agonies brought on by frequent travel\, she formulated a specialized program that combines her years of diverse and multi-disciplinary experiences and training in massage\, manual therapy\, yoga\, meditation\, traveling and luxury service to help people prevent and recover from the damage caused by traveling. \nSnow has experienced luxurious hospitality as a guest\, a therapist\, and a consultant\, and she now brings this innovative travel massage program to Cortiva Massage School to educate and train her fellow LMTs and health and wellness professionals. \nFull Certification as an Air Beautiful Travel Massage Specialist requires completion of two certified classes: \nPart I- Travel Prep and Recovery Massage\nPart II- Jet Lag Adjuster Massages and Beyond \nIn the Part 1\, the training will allow the participants:\n• To understand the physiology of traveling\, especially what happens to our bodies in the air cabin\, and during other types of traveling. \n• To analyze the imbalances that travel may cause from a variety of Western and Eastern perspectives\, and to generate reasonable and effective treatment plans. \n• To learn two types of Travel Recovery Massage protocols and one type of Travel Prep Massage protocol with utilizing the ideas and techniques of Swedish Massage\, Shiatsu\, Ayurveda\, Aromatherapy\, and more.
